Crush is a terminal coding agent from Charm, with MCP support, for macOS, Linux and Windows. Its README calls it a coding bestie for the terminal and shows the repository at roughly 28,900 stars. The licence is FSL-1.1-MIT, the Functional Source License with an MIT future licence: you can read and use the code now, with limits on competing commercial use, and each release converts to MIT after a set period. That makes it source-available today instead of open source by the usual definition, which is why our licence data says other. The tool is free to run; you pay whichever model provider you connect. We would suggest it to people who want a polished terminal interface from a team known for terminal tools. The main limit is that licence nuance, which matters for companies planning to build on it. We read the repository on 31 October 2026 and have not used Crush ourselves.
