Grok 4.7 is a closed xAI model, released 2026-09-21, listed on OpenRouter at $2 per million input tokens and $6 output with a 500,000-token context and text, image and PDF input. The maker appears on OpenRouter as SpaceXAI, which we note because older articles use the xAI name. The price is the same as Grok 4.5 and 4.6, so the series step does not change the budget. There are no downloadable weights. We would suggest it to teams that already use xAI's models and want the newest version, and for comparison with other closed models of similar price, such as Claude Sonnet 5.5. The limit is that we found no independent comparison we trust here, so we make no claim about quality, and the model should be tested on your own work.
