Kimi K3

Kimi K3 is an open-weights model from Moonshot AI, released 2026-07-16, with a 1,048,576-token context and text, image and video input. OpenRouter lists $0.192 per million input tokens and $15 output, an unusually wide gap between input and output that makes long answers far costlier than long prompts. Together AI's page lists Kimi K3 at $3 and $15, so prices differ by host. The licence in our data is open-weights, without a standard licence name, so read the licence file before shipping it. We would suggest it for work with large inputs and short outputs, such as review and classification. The limit is that output-heavy tasks like long code generation cost more, and a newer K3.1 Pro is listed as proprietary. Prices and specifications come from the OpenRouter listing we checked on 31 October 2026, and we have not tested the model ourselves.
