Mistral Large 4

Mistral Large 4 is Mistral's flagship open-weights model, released 2026-10-06, and OpenRouter lists it at $0.7 per million input tokens and $2.1 output with a 1,048,576-token context and text and image input. Mistral's own page quotes the same prices, and notes EU training and a data processing addendum. The earlier Mistral Large 3 was proprietary at $0.50 and $1.50, so this release changes the licence as well as the price. We would suggest it for European teams that want a flagship model under EU law, with the option of self-hosting. The limit is that the licence in our data is open-weights without a standard name, so read it before commercial use, and that we make no claim about benchmarks. Prices and specifications come from the OpenRouter listing we checked on 31 October 2026, and we have not tested the model ourselves.
