Claude Code Action runs Claude inside GitHub workflows, so it can respond to pull requests and issues. The repository is anthropics/claude-code-action, MIT licensed, with 9.7 thousand stars. The README's quickstart is to open claude in a terminal and run /install-github-app, which sets up the GitHub app and secrets. It says you must be a repository admin, and that this quickstart is for direct Anthropic API users, with a separate guide for Bedrock, Vertex AI and Microsoft Foundry. We would recommend it to teams that want review comments or small fixes drafted from an issue, with a person approving the result. An agent with write access to a repository deserves tight permissions, so scope the token carefully. A companion security review action from Anthropic exists as a separate project. Last push 31 October 2026. We have not set it up.
