Claude Squad manages several terminal agents at once, such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Amp, each in its own session. It is written by smtg-ai and licensed AGPL 3.0, which asks anyone who modifies it and offers it over a network to share their changes. The README installs it with brew install claude-squad, and the binary is named cs, with a link step shown for Homebrew users. The repository has 8.7 thousand stars. We would suggest it when you want to run parallel agents on separate tasks without losing track of which session is doing what. Each agent still consumes its own usage, so parallel work costs more than serial work. The last push we saw was on 20 August 2026, which is older than most neighbours, so look at open issues before depending on it. We have not run it.
