Dev Browser is a Claude skill that gives an agent the ability to use a web browser. The author is Sawyer Hood, the licence is MIT, and the repository has 6.7 thousand stars. The README lists /plugin marketplace add sawyerhood/dev-browser and /plugin install dev-browser@sawyerhood/dev-browser, and also a global npm install with npm install -g dev-browser. We would suggest it for tasks like checking a deployed page or filling in a form while you watch. It is a skill, not an MCP server, so it loads only when the agent decides the task needs it. Browser control carries risk, since a page can contain text meant to steer the agent, so avoid pointing it at accounts that matter. Last push 18 October 2026. We have not used it, and we cannot compare its speed with the Chrome DevTools server.
