Geo Sleuth is an agent skill that works out where a photograph was taken. It combines OpenStreetMap geometry, elevation skylines, satellite imagery and street view, and shows its work as it goes. The README names Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and GitHub Copilot as hosts, and the install is npx skills add Oldcircle/geo-sleuth. The author is Oldcircle, the licence is MIT, and the repository has 4.6 thousand stars, with a last push on 29 October 2026. We find showing the reasoning the most useful design choice, because a location guess you cannot check is just a guess. The same ability can be used to find a private person from a photo, so use it on your own images or with clear permission. Results will vary with how distinctive the scene is. We have not run it on a photograph.
