Clawd on Desk is a pixel desktop pet that watches Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other coding agents, so you can see their state without keeping a terminal in view. The author goes by Ruller_Lulu, and the licence is AGPL 3.0. The README lists downloads for each system: a .dmg or brew install --cask clawd-on-desk on macOS, an AppImage or .deb on Linux. The repository has 6.6 thousand stars and was last pushed on 31 October 2026. We think it is charming and also practical, since a glance at a small character is less intrusive than a notification. It is a desktop app that hooks into your agents, so check what it reads before installing it on a work machine. The AGPL matters mainly if you plan to modify and host it. We have not installed it.
