DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB and SQLite, and it describes itself as token conscious. It is built by Bytebase, installed with npx -y @bytebase/dbhub over stdio, and licensed MIT. The repository has 3.8 thousand stars and was last pushed on 26 October 2026. We would suggest it to developers who want one server covering several engines instead of one per database. Keeping responses small matters because query results eat context fast. Point it at a read-only account or a replica, since an agent that can run arbitrary SQL can also delete data. The README should say which operations it allows by default, and we advise confirming that before connecting anything real. Our comparison of database servers puts the options side by side. We have not run it against a database.
