DBX is a 25 MB cross-platform database client for more than 100 databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, MongoDB, DuckDB and SQL Server, according to its GitHub description. This entry is its npm MCP package, @dbx-app/mcp-server, installed with npx -y @dbx-app/mcp-server over stdio. The licence is Apache 2.0, and the parent repository shows 28.3 thousand stars. We would suggest it to developers who work with several database types and want one MCP server for all of them. The main limit is safety: a server that can run queries across production databases can also change data, so give it read-only credentials and a development database first. We did not review which operations the server blocks. It overlaps with Google's MCP Toolbox, which is configured through tool files instead. The repository was pushed on 30 October 2026, and we have not run it.
