CrewAI is an MIT-licensed Python framework for teams of cooperating agents, with MCP support, plus a hosted product called AMP. Our notes from 31 October 2026 record the AMP Basic plan as free for 50 executions a month, and we did not confirm the mid-tier plan. The library is free; model calls are paid to your provider. We would suggest it to developers who think in roles and tasks and want a framework that expresses a crew as a configuration, with a commercial path when they want hosting. Several details are open in our written page: which model providers are supported, the default memory store, native MCP behaviour, how to turn off base telemetry, and seat counts on AMP. That telemetry question matters for private data. Our CrewAI guide has the install steps and a comparison with LangGraph. This entry rests on vendor docs and a README read, not our own build.
