LangGraph is an MIT-licensed framework from LangChain for building agents as graphs with state, with MCP support through an adapter we could not confirm in detail. The library is free. LangChain's hosted tracing and deployment product, LangSmith, listed a Developer plan at $0 and a Plus plan at $39 per seat per month in our 31 October 2026 notes, so the realistic cost of production use lies in that platform plus model calls. We would suggest it to developers who need explicit control over flow, such as loops, branches, retries and human approval steps, and who accept more setup than a crew-style framework needs. The open items in our written page are the supported Python versions and the status of the MCP adapter. The main limit is the learning curve of graph thinking for simple jobs, where a smaller SDK may be enough. Our guide compares it with CrewAI and the vendor SDKs. We read docs and pricing, and have not built with it ourselves.
