This tool removes visible and invisible AI watermarks from images and video, and AI provenance metadata from images, video and audio. The description names SynthID, C2PA, EXIF, IPTC and XMP among the marks it handles. It is a Python library, a command line tool and an agent skill, and the MCP server installs with uvx remove-ai-watermarks. The maintainer is wiltodelta, the licence is Apache 2.0, and the repository has 6.2 thousand stars, with a last push on 30 October 2026. We list it because it is widely starred, not because we endorse every use. Stripping provenance can break platform rules and, in some places, disclosure laws, so check what applies before using it on anything you publish. Legitimate cases exist, such as cleaning your own files of stray metadata. We have not run it.
